“Okay, I’m just gonna come out and say it. This is a SINGING competition. I don’t know how those deaf kids got in. They weren’t singing, they were, like, HONKING. And everybody was crying. and I was, like, ‘Get off the stage, you’re terrible, and you’re making me super uncomfortable.’” - Candace Dystra, 5th Runner Up, Miss Ohio 2006 and Sectionals Judge

I know these last few days since the Glee fall finale have been tough, fellow Gleeks. Personally, I watched the “My Life Would Suck Without You” performance about six times, not wanting to let the show end. Glee is not scheduled to return with new episodes until April 13 (the cast and crew will begin shooting the back nine episodes in early January) but EW does have some info that will hopefully help you handle your withdrawal: sources close to the show say that there are plans to release original content during the hiatus (similar to how clips and music were released this past summer between the May preview and the season premiere) and that an episode marathon is being discussed prior to the series returning. While nothing is official yet, Gleeks, your best bet is to check out the series twitter and Facebook pages for updates. Meanwhile, Fox says it’s not concerned about Glee’s four-month long hiatus. “If I were ABC, I would be concerned about FlashForward because those shows are ending in a downward cycle—Glee’s ending in an upward cycle,” says Preston Beckman, Fox’s EVP of Strategic Program Planning and Research. “The best news of all is that when it returns it’s gonna be sitting behind American Idol. So it’s not like we’re putting it in a time period where it’s gonna have to fight.” Source: EW.Com
Fox' Glee goes out with a mid-season bang! While the confrontation between Sue and Will was -- well boring -- the rest of Glee was outstanding. Okay -- yes the reform school and deaf school followed Sue's advice and cheated. This initially left our heroes in limbo. Basically here is what happened: Will does not go with the Glee Club but Emma does and keeps in touch with Will. When Will hears that the other schools have done the Glee Club pieces, he confronts Sue who tells him he can't prove it. Of course, she is happy because the money that was going to him would come back to her! Finn knows about the baby's daddy. He gives up all the Glee kids, but Will talks him into going and helping them out when Will learns the scope of the problem. Performances happen and our heroes in Glee go into shock but Finn's arrival pulls them out of it. Terri and Will have a talk and she tells him she's in therapy. He wants to believe but he's not sure if he can. Will shows up at Emma's wedding and there is no Ken. Emma's sitting at her wedding reception alone! Emma starts crying and Will tells her he has just left his wife! Sue is confronted by the principal who found out from the other coaches what happened. When Sue thinks she has won, he takes the cheerleading squad from her. He lets her have it and she's in shock. He suspends her from the school and asks Will if he wants to add anything. The principal puts Will back in as head of glee and set the record straight. Sue congratulates Will on a job well done. And she still means to destroy Will. And how did our heroes do. They won by fair and square and earned a big trophy. NOW REGIONALS ARE COMING UP! Oh, and Emma is gone. Will sees her and runs to her and they kiss. Music: As I said earlier, all the songs the Glee kids were going to do was taken by the "reform" and deaf schools causing the kids to go into shock. "Don't Rain on My Parade" - Rachel. She knocked it out the park. She was unique too by starting in the audience and moving to the stage. The rest join her on stage! You Can't Always Get What You Want" --Quinn on the solo does an outstanding job! Rachel then takes over. The reform school coach, played by Eve was outstanding. "Cause We Belong" -- excellent ending to mid-season! Oh, by the way: The judges had no clue what they are doing. One is even out of her mind like Sue is. One judge hates the way the reform school looked. And the reform school coach, played by Eve, has extreme guilt. I've also mentioned that she went to the principal. She was excellent in her role! New Sue next year. I don't want to wait until April! FOX brings Glee back sooner and let us know that you have already renewed it.
"Power-hungry. Ruthless. Persistent. Cruel. Delicious." Those are some of the adjectives Jane Lynch offers up when All Things Considered host Melissa Block asks her to explain Sue Sylvester, the hard-charging cheerleading coach Lynch plays on the Fox network's breakout fall comedy, Glee. "This woman has no inner doubt," Lynch says. "She doesn't have much reflection going on." That, and she's got a seemingly endless supply of track suits. "It's a lot of fun," Lynch confesses. "It's like slipping into your pajamas when you go to work — I love it." Read More
